For many stakeholders in a project, scale and impact are hard to judge. Prior to Woods commencing work the Ormiston / Stancombe / Murphys Road intersection consisted of a small roundabout serving 2 lane rural roads.

The rezoning of the 1700 hectare Ormiston basin by the Manukau City Council for future residential development in 2004/2005 changed the status of many of the existing roads in the area. Ormiston, Murphys and Stancombe roads were three such roads that became district arterials under the changed zoning.

Woods carried out the design and subsequently administered construction of the works through 2007. These visualizations and photos tell the story.
