Woods were part of a consortium commissioned by Fulton Hogan Ltd to promote the moving of the Metropolitan Urban Limit (MUL) and to rezone land at Hobsonville for industrial purposes.

Our role was to develop a structure plan for the area and to subsequently negotiate Waitakere City Council's 'buy in' to the project. Comprehensive evidence was then presented to the Auckland Regional Council to support the MUL shift and rezoning.

Of the 2000 submissions lodged to the Local Government (Auckland) Amendment Act (LGAAA) process, we were the only consortium to achieve a shift in the MUL beyond that originally notified.

Woods are now working with Council to refine the structure plan.
