Gulf Harbour - Surveying

Woods has been involved in the development of Gulf Harbour since the mid 1980's using Global Positioning System (GPS) and conventional surveying methods for construction setout, volume surveys and for creating cadastral boundaries for the project's golf course and residential areas.

While GPS has been an outstanding tool for undertaking surveys during the past 20 years, extensive improvements have taken this method to new heights in accuracy. Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) uses the increasing number of satellites being launched by different countries around the world to provide greater accuracy for use on the ground. With this increased accuracy comes improved outputs, saving both time and money particularly when applying this technology to cadastral surveying.

Today, we are still involved in the development of Gulf Harbour applying the newer GNSS technology to new residential subdivisions within the development.
