Private development of four townhouses in Christchurch

Woods Involvement 

Woods were engaged to provide design and documentation for a private development of 4 townhouses on a site of 1350m in Christchurch.

ARCHITECTURE & URBAN DESIGN

Woods'  team provided a concept design, further developing it into a detail design. We provided design management, resourced consent and building consent, provided working drawings set with specifications, and liaised with other consultants and manufacturers throughout the project. 

Challenges

Designs needed to consider the two existing single-level houses on the site. 

Although the new houses are substantially larger than the existing houses, all have a defined ‘front’ from the accessway and rear private courts.
